Introduction

Both James and Marcus have a vast amount of experience working in the media, and commercial world.  They regularly work for some of the world’s leading blue chip companies, as well as many very well known personalities. Over recent years they have photographed well over a hundred weddings with universal acclaim. James McCormick Wedding Photography was formed in order to streamline the wedding photography that both Marcus and James undertake in order to be able to offer their clients a better service as well as fantastic rates.

Our goal is simply to produce the highest quality images, and deliver the very best of services.
The vast majority of our clients come from personal recommendation, so naturally we care about their wishes, and in return they provide us with future bookings.  We feel it is important to stress that photographing weddings is not the only photography we do. This is good news for everyone, because it means we don’t end up treating a wedding as simply another date in our diary.  Also, we only ever undertake one wedding at a time, so you have us for as long as you wish on your day.

Our photography is one of relaxed and informal reportage style, so look forward to bold colours and dramatic black and white images.

We work in an unobtrusive and discrete way, and always keep in mind that the day belongs to you and your guests.  However it is of course important to get the very best pictures from your day, and this is why we are very happy to visit you in advance of your big day and discuss any of your specific requirements, as well as possibly take some pre-wedding engagement pictures.

As mentioned, our style is principally one of reportage, and we aim to use as much of the natural light and ambience as possible.  However we also use balanced flash and other lighting techniques when needed, ensuring we are able to cover all aspects of your day.  Photographing small details (cake, table dressings, etc) and the main group shots will be done as quickly as possible in order to help the day flow without interruption.  

A unique aspect of our service is our on sight mini studio, allowing you and your guests to have high quality and fun portraits taken at any point during the day. One advantage of this is that we have full control over the light, so if the weather decides to be difficult we can still produce beautifully lit results.

An area we feel is often overlooked by many photographers is the actual bride and her gown. For those wanting something a little different, why not allow us a little time so we can grab some friends and take a walk around the venue or surrounding area. Here we can take some great quality and fun images of you and your dress. Many brides have looked back on this as one of the most fun parts of their day.

The end result for our clients is a stunning contemporary album, designed and laid out by us, and produced by Loxely, the world-renowned producer of exquisite albums.  You will also get a disc containing all the relevant images of your day, making it easy to get reprints done yourself at cost, so no outrageous reprinting costs.
